My Clipmarks clips:
My Twitter feed:

One of these days I'll have to make a Yahoo pipe to integrate all the feeds about me... unless there's a better solution that someone would like to suggest?

OK, if I post anything to my professional blog,, twitter, flickr, LJ (publicly), Facebook, or Clipmarks, it'll show up here:

If you know of any other RSS feeds that describe what I'm up to, please let me know. :)

I'm not planning to set up a Twitter account; I update my Facebook status only when it's screamingly inaccurate.  I think it still says I'm looking forward to the election so we can finally get this fella James K. Polk out of the White House.

But I do consume RSS feeds, so if you're using Twitter, please tell me your username and I'll add your feed so that I can eventually find out what you've been up to.

Looking forward to this summer's blockbuster called "Of Course You Know What I Did Last Summer, Everyone On Twitter Knows That".

With #code4lib's help, I've now got an XSLT stylesheet that lets browsers turn the existing RSS feed into something resembling HTML. This is a big step for all of the work I'm planning to do, since it means I can apply that knowledge to all the rest of the XSLT stuff.

Huzzah! I really need to cacheize the script so I can share the URL with everyone. I've gotten a lot done today and I'm proud of it.

From an email to the stakeholders (hey guys, put those stakes down, I haven't even got my game face on):
A letter to the webmaster, my boss, and her boss )

My Perl script returns valid RSS for items added in the last 7 days at any given SunCat library. I need to make it cache results and use the cache, or else I can't share the URL without getting our database slammed by broken RSS aggregators querying once per minute. But I've got valid RSS, which is a good start.

Next parts of the project:
  1. Get a scratch PAC working so we can monkey around with it.
  2. Cache-ize the RSS script.
  3. Add more useful information; currently it's only displaying an ISBN and an image.

Since the Anti-Flag site has a bunch of QuickTime videos released serially, I thought to myself, "Someone should make that into a video podcast."

And since I wanted to sharpen my RSS skills anyway, I made an Anti-Flag Video Podcast to practice. Check it out! You'll want to paste into iTunes under Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast. Or I hear that just dragging the link into iTunes will do the same thing.

I don't think it works with video iPods (the videos on the site aren't in the right format, as far as I can tell), but at least you can watch the videos in iTunes...

3M is giving 50¢ to the City of Hope Cancer Center for everyone who posts a virtual sticky note on this site, up to a maximum of $100,000. So far they're around the $30,000 mark, which means that your sticky note counts!

If you have Firefox, you can add a Live Bookmark to a list of charity sites that have advertisers who donate to good causes when you click the button. You should be able to just drag this link onto your bookmarks: Daily Charity. Then every day, right-click it and choose "Open in Tabs" and they'll all open up for you to click them.

Oh, and enjoy my new Potterpuffs AYBABTU icon, made by [ profile] birddude1225 and used with permission (from the [ profile] userpicks community).

Was I the last one to find out about Google Reader, an RSS feed manager?
