If you use Skype, please tell me your username. I'd like to test it for free before I buy €10 worth of credit for calling outside of the Skype network.

Hello! I don't know you, but I just so happened to see this post through the USF friends page...anyway, I use Skype to talk to my family in other states, and usually it is pretty clear. Occasionally (I'll say once every 2-3 weeks) it is impossible to get a clear connection. I'm not sure why, but on those nights, no matter how many times I hang up and try again, there is still a lot of static. Most of the time, it is crisp and clear sound, with no delay. It is great for me since my whole family can gather around the computer and I can hear them all just fine, unlike speakerphone. I'd rather not pass out my user name, and I've never tried calling outside the Skype network, as you said, but I hope this helps anyway.

That's cool, thanks. Of course, you're on tampabay.rr.com and I use Verizon DSL, so I'll have to test this from home to really know...
