On the danger of cheap power

sylvarLet's say that we found a way to make a Mr. Fusion, or some other way to generate almost unlimited power cheaply and safely.
Wouldn't this be a really bad thing? I mean, if everyone starts using all that power, it's going to kick up a hell of a lot of waste heat somewhere down the road, and that could toast us just as fast as fossil fuels.
