Friday night I crashed your party

Actually, I didn't crash at all on Friday night -- I've stayed up this late, and will probably go to sleep by 2. Saturday's project? Cooking! I've got a pain meteil sponge forming, some black beans soaking, and maybe I'll make something else while that's cooking. I saw a recipe in InStyle for soup made from slow-roasted tomatoes, but I got called to the barber's chair too soon, and I can't find a copy of that issue at the library. Bummer.

I'm playing with "Rubik's Race"; earlier I watched the documentaries on the second DVD of "Attack of the Clones". I've been doing laundry throughout; I had only about 6 singleton socks, and I'm sure I'll continue finding mates. All the comforters and some winter clothes of mine are in two large containers. The computer room is still a godawful mess, but that'll come later.

The long and rectilinear road

I'm almost finished with the book I got from Alleycat, so it looks like it's time for me to head to the library. I think I'll walk over. Jodi walked all day yesterday and was exhausted, the poor dear, but she'll gain stamina during a summer of hilly pedestrianism! I'd better keep exercising so I can keep up.

...That was a good walk! Good thing I got there at 4:30 -- I forgot it closes at five. If I'd have waited for the sun to go down a bit... but it sets awfully late these days anyway.
