A world map with local names

I'm not sure if this exists, but I want one.

I don't care what projection -- but I want it to say "Deutschland", not "Germany". I want a map that names each country what its people call it.

If anyone can find such a thing, I'd love to know about it.

Drilling and filling

Inspired by Heathrow's recent post, I asked around the office and found that most people went to the same dentist. So I've got an appointment for next Wednesday morning. I already know it'll be under $100 for the first visit, so it shouldn't be TOO much of a problem. Just to keep myself honest, I stuck that money into my little-used savings account.

I killed $300 of credit card debt this month, a fairly drastic move. I'm hoping not to have to spend some of that back onto the card. Fortunately, I've got plenty of time to cook the many things already in my pantry, and I'm not anticipating any major expenses. Although I may have to edit this entry next week if the dentist has recently bought a new fishing boat...

I haven't actually scanned the hard copy into anything yet. It'll be interesting to see if it works. Still, not bad for a couple hours' work.
