I'm writing from the Bull Pen lounge at the bowling alley, which has free wireless access and cheap eats ($5 for two slices and a soda, for example). And it's relatively quiet, though there's no saying if it stays quiet until they close at 2am (3am on weekends).

Not bad. Not well-lit enough to study by, but a place to relax...

And here I am at the Unitarian-Universalist Church of Tampa, waiting for [livejournal.com profile] jitterbug5bi5's class to be over. The signal seems usable only within the building, mainly, but if anything's gonna get [livejournal.com profile] tregoweth into a church, I bet it would be free wireless access...

Today it's "You can withdraw the first $12,000 you put into a Roth IRA, any time, any reason, no tax penalty, and since you've already paid income taxes at today's bracket before you saved money in a Roth IRA, you don't pay any taxes on what you withdraw later when you'll be in a higher bracket."

Suze Orman seems a bit odd to me, but it's hard to escape her logic on this one. As soon as we've paid off credit card debt, I'll suggest this to Jodi as a smart place to stash our rainy day funds!
