Tonight I'm making Ukrainian Cabbage Rolls. I sauted the onions with paprika and cumin, deglazed with a bit of chardonnay, added this to the instant brown rice, and stuffed the steamed cabbage leaves until I ran out of rice (at which point I used mashed potatoes). I've covered them with tomato juice and put them in a 325°F oven, and now comes the hardest part: waiting until 9pm.

I found out who the three finalists are for the new executive director of TBLC, and while a personal favorite didn't make the cut, I know two candidates pretty well and would be thrilled to work with any of them (based on that and the history of the third). One of the three strikes me in particular as a stunningly good choice.
