Hurricane Jeanne

Looks like Jodi's family in Stuart will have to go to Miami to get away from this one.

Or maybe we should all just move to Pittsburgh...

My home was 100% dry but we didn't have running water for 2 days.
My mom's home was a little moist in the basement but she had running water.
Some offices at work were ruined, but only on the first floor. My office and the machine room was safe on the 3rd floor despite some shoddy plumbing.

Pittsburgh was not prepared for this much rain. It was the most we've ever had ever.

Some homes were completely ruined. W was in town yesterday to sign checks so he looks like the hero. Just when I thought Pennsylvania had a chance to be a Kerry state :c(

AUGH!!!!

Nevermind Miami, send 'em west. Looks like we're going to get a handful from this one, too.

Nevermind Pittsburgh, move to Cleveland! There's a nice house I've been looking at renting, but I'd need a roommate or two... it's cheap!

come to california, and wait for the next big quake!

seriously, what a pain ... is it my imagination or has the hurricane impact/threat in your area been way worse this year than in any previously rememberable year ...
