Jailer of doggies

I called Animal Services to report a very scared sand-colored retriever named Snickers. (He wouldn't let me hold his collar long enough to read the phone number, although I had a cell phone at the ready.)

He and his pals, a black retriever and a smaller dark mottled dog, will soon be brought in and fed. Snickers will certainly be returned to his humans, and the other dogs are certainly friendly enough to get adopted. I just hope they make it.

thanks for caring enough to help out snickers and buddies...you did all that you could do. you think they were lost/freaked out by the storms? wonder how many loose animals they have as a result :(

we have a private shelter out here that I sponsor (www.petsinneed.org) that takes in animals from shelters that are about to be done away with. they then keep them until they can find homes for them. There are guardian angels out there that do what they can.

how bad were the storms out by you guys? my parents got a lot of damage from jeanne (?) this last one, but then it hit pretty much dead on in that area. and they had just had insurance people out there for the roof damage from the first one...charlie, or maybe the one after that...sigh. here's hoping the doggies find their homes, I was always worried something would happen to my dog whenever he got out.

hey just out of curiousity does jodi post in her journal? I added both you guys but I didn't know if maybe she does friends only or something, or just has it to comment and stuff sometimes. er, I know people that do that.

oh, and additionally, how have you guys been?

Sorry it took me so long to respond. Jodi's family is renting an apartment (covered by insurance) because their house was pretty much obliterated.

As far as I know, Jodi doesn't even read my LiveJournal, let alone post in her own.
