Bank annoyance

I lost my Visa card a while back, but it hasn't been used, so it must be in my apartment somewhere. I went into the bank office to cancel the card, and they said a new one will arrive in a week.

Then last night my debit card was declined at McDonalds, which ruined a night out. My balance is fine, but apparently the bank canceled my debit card instead of my Visa...

So now I've canceled the Visa. Good thing I recently got a different Visa anyway, or else I'd have to take time off to get a cash withdrawal like in the old days.

I hope the debit card being declined at McDonalds wasn't during the middle of a hot date. Because, even if your date didn't mind being accepted at McDonald's...the debit card not working would certainly discourage me.

Well, it might have been a hot date. Only my wife can say for sure.
