Hmm, I'll have to see if I can get Three Kinds of Asking For It from the library. Doubtful... doubtful... but worth a try! I've generally enjoyed Susie Bright's compilations before.
My books are in lots of libraries, i think you should go for it! I regularly look in libraries in every town I visit. My work is easy to find in large cities or university towns, a littlemore irregular in more rural or conservative areas. I'd love it if you'd request a copy! The libraries are indeed stuffed with erotic and educational sexuality of all kinds.
Hi, I'm Eric Albert, author of "Charmed, I'm Sure," one of the three erotic novellas in "Three Kinds of Asking for It." I see Susie has beaten me here!
I'd like to say that librarians, including my lovely wife, are often in the forefront of free speech struggles, and work hard to get controversial books to the public.
But it's a challenge, because buying the books for the library is often the (comparatively) *easy* part -- it's keeping them that's tough! Search for a title like "The Joy of Sex" in an online catalogue of a library network. Here, in the Boston area, you'll find that copy after copy is notated as "LOST" or "MISSING".
That's because people are too embarrassed to take such books out. Instead, they just, uh, take them out. Librarians have to wonder if they're spending funds wisely on sex books, when they know the books aren't going to stick around. I write such books, and have a strong interest in having libraries carry them, but I sympathize.
If you'd like more information about "Three Kinds of Asking for It", including excerpts, please check out my web site (note that the site has a few erotic (but not explicit) photographs):

There you'll find excerpts from the novellas, a collection of some reviews the book's gotten, links to the authors' and editor's web sites, my essay "Erotica: Threat or Menace?", my answers to seven provocative questions, and my recommendations for some fab nonfiction sex books. Enjoy!
