Breathtaking

We were in Ybor City when Jodi asked me how long it'd take to get back to her apartment -- which is where she left her asthma rescue inhaler. Thank God it wasn't a serious attack, so she was merely in pain for the 20 minutes of seriously crazy driving that it took to get back there.

But I can't shake the feeling that it'll happen again, and this was just a drill. I need to find out whether there's even any way to know how many minutes I have before she passes out or dies, so that I can drive like a maniac accordingly. I mean, if it's pretty sure that she won't pass out for half an hour, I don't have to put us at *somewhat* less risk by passing cars quickly, for example.

And it definitely makes me NOT want to take any road trips. Do you have any idea how much of Florida is more than a few minutes from the nearest emergency room?

breathtaking

i'm going to suggest that y'all keep some old, even if they are expired inhalers in the car and at friends so that whereever you are there's one there, or close by.
