I'm at the Orange County (FL) Library System for a conference, and for $5 I got a weeklong pass to use their wireless network. I've really got to look into RADIUS servers; it sounds like it's a much better idea than a list of around 30 MAC addresses stored in a wireless gateway's flash memory. Still, we don't regularly need to connect many people, so for us it might not be worth it. But if we start offering it to other libraries... hmm...

After two 16-hour days and about $240 in truck expenses, we've finally got most of the big stuff moved over, and much of the little stuff. I haven't packed the kitchen stuff at all, and Jodi's already sick from allergies. But the place is starting to come together nicely -- we've already got better cable than anywhere we've lived before, and with any luck we should have a dial tone soon. THen a week later we'll have DSL and I'll hook up our wireless network. Hmm... time to buy a wireless adapter...

IP Relay rocks, if you speak TDDese. I just used it to set up a dinner date with Sheryl for tonight.
