Free pancakes at IHOP on Tuesday, February 28th

Beginning just a few minutes ago here on the east coast, IHOP is offering three free pancakes to everyone who comes in today (no take-out, though). You are not obliged to buy anything, though you should tip well lest your eternal abode be the lake of boiling hot boysenberry syrup. Also they'll ask you if you would like to donate the regular price of the pancakes (or any other amount) to a local charity.

And it's pancake day because of some British Isles tradition of getting rid of the food they couldn't eat during Lent by making it into pancakes. Yum!
