This takes the cake.

As previously noted, UPS proved itself utterly incapable of delivering a package to the correct address or having it available for pickup when promised. A deeply apologetic UPS employee eventually called me last Friday and offered to have the package delivered on Monday.

Fine, I said; have them deliver it to my office. I gave them the address.

On Monday, the package didn't even get onto a truck until 7PM.

On Tuesday, they tried to deliver it to my office at 8PM. Uh, guys... we're only open until five.

So I expect them to show up sometime today with the package. Except that the tracking page says that it was already delivered around noon, and signed for by OSTROWSKY.

Well, I'm the only OSTROWSKY around here, and I didn't sign for it.

I have since learned (in a friends-locked post by [livejournal.com profile] turtlebat23) that UPS changed the delivery address back to our home address without asking me or even notifying me.

I'm glad to have the package, but UPS admits they've had my package here in Tampa for the past week. Why I couldn't have had it last week is beyond me.

i'm glad j was able to sign for it so it's not 'somewhere else' but they really dropped the cat hair into the icing of that cake they took.

Lessee.. UPS dropped of a package addressed to me correctly in the neighbors yard.

It gets better. They dropped it in a puddle, and the package said "Perishable food" on it.

I have a Fedex account for a reason :)
