A good evening
Jun. 7th, 2006 07:52 pmI got to chat for a while with a friend I haven't seen in a long time (
babyfishfel). We had a lot of fun -- so much fun that I forgot to leave the office until 6pm.
Then I came home and, armed with a good book from the library, replaced my bicycle's burst tube. (
tiger_stripes and other cyclists -- the tire is 26 x 1.90, the tube is 26 x 1.95-2.something, should I take it back and get a 1.9?) The tire's sidewall is damaged, though, so I'll have to replace that. Shouldn't be hard.
I managed to take off and correctly put back on a rear wheel, its tire, and its tube. I feel like I just graduated. Hooray for me! I'm not mechanically retarded! Maybe some other day I'll fiddle with the rear derailleur and se if I can get it to let the chain stay on the highest gear. For now, I am content.

Oh yeah, and keep your tires pumped up to a reasonable level and that should help you with keeping the flats to a minimum :)
