According to the FDA, if a food product contains 1% of the recommended daily intake of a vitamin, the Nutrition Facts label may claim that it contains 2% of that vitamin. The same label may also, instead, claim that it contains none of the vitamin.

I already knew that ConAgra-friendly labeling laws were gambling with my health. I just didn't know it was double or nothing.

Also, nixon lowered the RDA so he'd look better in office, and there's the famous ketchup is a veggie regan crud too.

It's not always as easy as it looks to get the vitamins, fresh is best! :)

not always. lycopene is better absorbed from cooked tomatoes (ketchup, tomato sauce, etc.). and remember that frozen veggies are usually fresher than fresh veggies as they are usually frozen the same day they are harvested.
