very nice place! and a wonderful looking back yard too. marshall says it has a low dddc, which means it has a history of very low gas usage. also, infinite energy is available as a service provider :D. there's a new customer deal at http://www.infiniteenergy.com/homeinfinite/articlespress/freeGAS.pdf. don't know if you can sign up this far in advance, but at least you know you have a choice of gas provider.

Cool -- I think. What's a DDDC, besides what you said already? And do I have to be a homeowner to sign up, or can a renter switch companies?

dddc: no clue. and i think to marshall it's not much more than a field in a database.

as for signing up, if your name is on the bill, you can usually switch. if gas is included in the rent then i would think the owner would have to switch. in some apartment complexes the renters pay the bill, but the complex owner contracts the gas supplier for the whole complex. since this is a detached house i am assuming that that isn't the case.
