Washlet has got to be the best Flash site I've ever seen:
  • Its design is very clean (ha ha)
  • It uses human faces in a friendly way (some of them actually seem to be looking right back at you when you look at them)
  • It presents a six-category navigation scheme in a way that's literally self-explanatory and omnipresent
  • It does a great job of explaining a product that serves a function one doesn't usually discuss like this
Some politico really ought to hire the creative team.  If they can do this for an advanced toilet, imagine what they could do for a career legislator...

Can't agree with you on this. First, it has mandatory sound/music. Flash or not, I don't think any website should open with music and sound. And no way to turn it off, either. Bad site. No biscuit!

Also, I think this site is more LOOK HOW SLICK OUR FLASH IS! rather than content. I never really learned much about their products, even though I could view each from three sides with a cool mouse rolly thing. And yet I couldn't see any product open, nor a close-up of the controls, nor any pics or animation demonstrating the products in use. I only got a short list of each's features, and no price range (like a MSRP for guidance).

Personally, I think THIS Flash is more effective than Washlet's, and for an equally delicate subject. :)
