I've been having a rough night. I'm guessing it was food poisoning from dinner, given the timing. (I ate around 11am and then again around 6pm.)

Geek that I am, though, I'm pleased to see the beginnings of a good site at http://atlanta.digitalhealthdepartment.com/dekalb/, and am hoping for RSS feeds of the latest inspections.

EDIT: I went back to bed at 6am after a very relaxing bath and managed to sleep until 9:30am. I'm feeling better now -- more hungry than queasy, though I'm taking it slow.

EDIT again: 11am and I'm only queasy when I'm trying to move anywhere or stand up. Feeling a bit disoriented, but must make my 1:30pm appointment for this month's meds. I might try to make a homemade sports drink for lytes.

Where did you eat?

I hope this passes quickly. :(

It's a place in Avondale that has a "half-off entrees" Monday special. I'm beginning to think that's the problem, since Jodi's BLT+bufala rocked and she's fine.

Echoing, I hope it clears up soon without too much trauma. Be careful, though, I've had more than one instance where what seemed like "simple" food poisoning turned out to be a nasty stomach flu. One rule of thumb is that if you throw up early on, with food poisoning, you'll usually start feeling better pretty quickly.

Haven't thrown up so far, and I've had odd chills and sweats. So maybe it is something that'll stick with me longer. Maybe I should go out and get some bananas, and possibly some gelatin (if I can convince myself that there's no better vegetarian option)...

Ack. I hope you were able to make it to your appointment safely, and feel better soon.

Thanks. I did, and the doc said he was glad I came in. Now if only I could find a university clinic that offers reduced-price sleep studies... snoring interrupts Jodi's sleep, which interrupts mine, and my insurance doesn't cover sleep as a component of health.
