An email to Trader Joe's

In the latest flyer, you claim (in the style of Lemony Snicket), "The word grits is derived from the Old English grytta, meaning coarse meal of any kind. 'Kiss my grits' was a phrase popularized in the 1970's sitcom 'Alice.' Here, 'grits' does not refer to a coarse meal of any kind."

I cheerfully beg to differ. In Alice's case, it might have even been a seven coarse meal. Snoogans!
