I haven't used it, it doesn't look like it 'turns itself off', and it doesn't seem to support lithium ion, but I've had this one on my Amazon Wishlist for a while since everyone seems to go gaga over it. Dunno. :)
I have a battery charger that can handle AA, AAA, 9V, C, and D that my mother-in-law got for us. It's a Radio Shack "Universal Ni-Cd/Ni-MH 2 hour charger". It can handle several at a time, doesn't take long to charge, and stops charging after the 2 hours. I don't know if it stops charging before that 2 hours if the batteries are fully charges sooner or not, but it does the job.
