School of Rock is even better than the ads suggest. It's going to put Jack Black solidly on the map. The beginning was the anti-Dead Poets Society -- the new teacher standing at (sometimes on) his desk, except he's telling the kids that everything is bullshit. Great stuff.

We got back just before pandorable and randommiss arrived in Tampa to go to The Castle with Amanda. I went to dinner at Lai Thai with Jodi and her mom, leaving a very nervous Amanda home to be picked up and taken out for a night of pleasure. We're not sure whether she'll be coming home tonight or tomorrow, but since Kevin drove everyone down, I'd guess the Gainesville three will leave together, too -- whenever that is. When we explained to Jodi's mom that Amanda is bi, she said "Oh, I'm not as straight as everyone thinks I am!" (We learned later that she meant 'square', but it was still a great moment.)

Remember, everyone, to turn those clocks BACK! (The 1am-2am hour will occur twice: 1:00, 1:01, ... 1:58, 1:59, 1:00*, 1:01* ... 1:59*, 2:00.)

An extra hour of sleep. Yay.

Sorry, Ben, but the "fall back" is at the end of October, the weekend of the 26th according to the calendar on Jon's wall as well as my memory of all those I've typed up at work.
