You probably have it on repeat. Start playing a song, tap the centre of the screen, and the playhead will come up. On the left of it you'll see two blue arrows in a circle, with a (1) at the bottom. Tap that to make it white, and your playlist will play through to the end and then stop. Tap it once more to make it blue (without the '1'), and your playlist will play through until the end and then repeat the entire playlist. But if the arrows are blue with the (1) at the bottom, it will continue playing the same song over and over until you tap the screen for the next song.
Previously that feature would only repeat the song once before continuing to the next song, but it now seems to be set to constant repeat. Of course, if that doesn't work, then you probably need to reset/restore it.
