One of those 3am ideas

Has anyone got a good way to create your own mix podcast by including items from other published podcasts?

Let's say, for example, that I really liked the last episode of Coverville more than most, and there was an interesting episode of the Australian podcast "All in the Mind" about Nim Chimpsky, and there's a few songs from Mashuptown that I think my friends would dig.

Is there a point-and-shoot way to, say, upload my iTunes podcast list as a file, then select episodes from any/all of my podcast feeds and have them placed into a new podcast, which points to the mp3 files already hosted elsewhere?

Elevator speech: It's like Google Reader sharing, for podcast episodes.

Now, please, has someone created this already?

sounds like a nightmare in editing (unless you mean a podcast made of other, complete podcasts.)

the only "podcast" i listen to with any regularity is [livejournal.com profile] jwz's mixtapes (which aren't podcasts proper) and the TED videos (if you're not familiar, you MUST check out at least one video from http://www.ted.com/ -- i recommend the malcolm gladwell but they're all by irritatingly bright people and usually unaccountably entertaining.)

I don't mean audio editing, I mean that a podcast is essentially an RSS feed with references to mp3 files. Why can't I make an RSS feed with references to mp3 files by piecing it together from other podcasts?
