The Sandman

Dang!  The two library systems near me, combined, don't have all the volumes of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman -- not even volume one.  So I've got volume nine, and I can get volume six, but I'm going to have to keep an eye open for used copies of volume 1 so I can get hooked.

Watchmen was so much cheaper... but much shorter, of course...

when you're done, don't forget to google the online annotated sandman -- goes panel by panel with annotations (song title allusions in the early books for e.g. etc etc)
