I just switched to a "my fiancée's in another state" long distance plan: $5/mo + 5c/min (5p-8a). True, in-state calls are so expensive I'll want to use a calling card, but for those long conversations, this'll help a lot.

Now I've just gotta remember to switch it back in August...

Who's your long distance company?

And who is hers? I'm asking because I had (until recently) an AT&T plan that cost $20 a month and was unlimited any time to anyone with AT&T. I signed up for it because it happened that everyone I call had AT&T. Alas, they all switched from it, so now i have the Neighborhood from MCI. That's $55 a month for every phone call I ever make (Well, except information). It's local, local toll and long distance unlimited to everyone. :)
There are all sorts of unlimited plans out there. Just a thought...

I'm using Verizon's "Best Times" plan. Jodi's roommate doesn't have long distance at all, so the AT&T plan (which Ximinez also mentioned, via IM) wouldn't work as well for us. But I'll see... maybe it's cheaper to pay their long distance bill too? :)

AT&T also has a plan where you can have unlimited long distance to anyone, AT&T customer or not, any time...I think it's $25...

I'm on a flat 6 cents a minute plan for all calls, at all times. No minimums or monthly fees.
