  • 16:19 GSU bookstore mgr refused my Visa bc I refused to show a DL. Quixotic, perhaps, but Visa doesn't allow merchants to do that. #

It's a sad catch-22 for merchants. Visa doesn't allow it, but some states actually have laws requiring it (indirectly). And if the merchant needs to contest a charge because it was a stolen card, Visa will say "Well did you ask for ID?!"

Seriously. It's totally buttfuck crazy.
