Lemon tea tastes better with white sugar than demerara. PROTIP: don't keep sugar and salt in twin jars. And don't put the salt jar under the demerara sugar jar!

I keep my sugar in a very old lady-ish ornate sugar bowl.

The salt stays in the original packaging - a giant sea salt shaker thing from Trader Joe's.

When I used to keep things in similar jars, I ended up making General Salt's Chicken once.

Me neither, but honey's so much more expensive than sugar that I only use it rarely. Maybe if I kept bees -- but I'm averse to being near them. I once reached into a croton bush, gingerly, to retrieve a tennis ball and ended up grabbing an occupied wasp nest the size and weight of a tennis ball, and since then I've found it tough to tolerate proximity to flying stinging things.
