Did you know there are regular HP Atlanta events? Katie goes to them every month or so.

Insurance companies also assume that if you have a teen over 16, she has a license, and they double your rates. Except our girl hasn't gone past the learner's permit, because her neurologist says no driving 'til her sleep disorder is under control. And every 6 months, we have to re-convince the insurer of that fact.

Yes, I used to go to the HP events, but the events end up being a little cliquish if you don't already know everyone. I've been hanging out with a few of them online and offline, and introducing Jodi to them, which also helps. I find I prefer non-HP-structured events (trivia, pizza, etc.) so there isn't a required element of themed fun. I've gotten to know maybe a dozen HP folks from that group and I'm always surprised Katie isn't yet one of my acquaintances. Eventually, I figure we'll run into each other. Hopefully not because she's drifted out of her lane. ;)
