wow, I'm so special I don't have options on either.
for public restrooms I pull them up to about my calf but I always sort of pull the legs upwards and tuck so that they're not only in no danger of touching the floor, they lift the crotch of the pants a bit to prevent the same thing.
at home, I usually take my pants off completely and hang them on something. I used to take my pants off in public restrooms but often found problems finding a place to put them. plus, I found friends ask questions if they are able to see under the door and there's no sign of pants and then you feel like a weirdo.
it must be psychological, but I feel more comfortable that way, (when I was younger I used to always take all my clothes off whenever I had to sit on the toilet) but there's a physical reason too, the way I like to position my feet when sitting is restrained when in pants.
