Oh, yeah, since sometime in the mid-eighties. People finally met Snuffy on the show after concern built that Big Bird's never being able to introduce Snuffy to his other friends might lead kids to think "Oh, grown-ups won't believe me if I tell them" about other types of stories (abuse, etc.)
