If pro-lifers believe fervently that any stage of one particular biological process is equivalent to the likely result of that process, are they consistent in this belief?
If a zygote is equivalent to a child, then the food you've just eaten is equivalent to shit. Doesn't it bother pro-lifers to realize that every time they take a bite of food, they've suddenly got an unshitten turd sliding down their throat? Feces begins at ingestion! Vomiting is turd-murder!

Date: 2004-04-06 03:05 pm (UTC)I think you're argument fails in one other (reasonable) aspect, and that is that food is dead (unless you're Klingon). A zygote is alive (though not yet human, IMHO) and growing.
