Fashionistas, please advise.

I need some sort of hair slickum so that I can make my hair spiky. The stuff I'm using right now is weak -- it holds my hair up but the spikes fall apart.

I don't know whether I want a wet or dry look. Whatever doesn't look dumb, I guess.

And something that doesn't wreak havoc on my scalp pH would be nice.

Oh, and preferably something much cheaper than Aveda, but not the dollar-a-bottle stuff either (I just distrust it, dunno why).

Welllll... okay, tell me what you know about it.

That's what he uses. as i said, it's expensive.... but he's purchased it ONCE.... probably a year ago... and it's still not empty. you just scoop out a little of the "product" with your fingers, rub it between your hands to emulsify and then rub it through your hair. if you went to an aveda salon, they'd probably let you try it out.

Hmm, I may try that. There's an Aveda salon near me. Thanks.

There's this hairgel they sell at Sally's called Proclaim. Its only $2.99. My cousin uses it and it doesnt leave a crusty residue and it has a good hold. You might wanna check it out :)
