I'm in a new BzzAgent campaign; this one is for a Firefox add-on called Me.dium.  As far as I can tell, it's made for social web-browsing; install it, and you'll see what sites I'm visiting at the time, and vice versa (with privacy controls, of course), and we can talk while we browse.

I say "as far as I can tell" because I think it would be more obvious if some of y'all install it and give it a try WITH me.

Use this link and I'll automatically be listed in your Friends:

I'm trying to get this button to look right in IE.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong on this page?  It doesn't seem to affect Mozilla, of course.

>< Goddamnit!

I installed Flash Player 8 and now Adblock seems to be blocking all .swf files (but won't admit to it).

I do NOT want to have to choose between Adblock and Flash.

UPDATE: Fortunately I don't have to. Here's a solution to the Flash 8 / Adblock problem.

3M is giving 50¢ to the City of Hope Cancer Center for everyone who posts a virtual sticky note on this site, up to a maximum of $100,000. So far they're around the $30,000 mark, which means that your sticky note counts!

If you have Firefox, you can add a Live Bookmark to a list of charity sites that have advertisers who donate to good causes when you click the button. You should be able to just drag this link onto your bookmarks: Daily Charity. Then every day, right-click it and choose "Open in Tabs" and they'll all open up for you to click them.

Oh, and enjoy my new Potterpuffs AYBABTU icon, made by [livejournal.com profile] birddude1225 and used with permission (from the [livejournal.com profile] userpicks community).

I use the Firefox web browser and Greasemonkey, an extension that lets you tack on some useful additions.

My favorites:

NewsLinksToGoogleGroups converts news:// URLs so they point to Google Groups. (How many of us still have a standalone USENET News client?)

Password Composer is sheer brilliance. You only have to memorize one password for all the web sites you log into, only you can use a different password for each one. How? This script jumbles your password against the site's domain name in a way that is a bit tricky to unjumble. It's not military-grade password security, but if you insist on remembering just one simple password, you may as well use this to improve your security.

SkypeLinkify turns phone numbers into Skype links so you can phone someone with a simple click, for about 2.5c/min. Too cool. I'm already a Skype user, but if I weren't, this convenience might just convince me to start.
