It's been a long time since I've made coffee, but the last of my Millstone Personal Blends is finally gone and even at 2½ years old, it was still pretty decent.

They used to offer a service where you told the site what you liked in a cup of coffee, and they'd create a custom blend with the name you chose. I made two bags and called them "Smoked Apricot" and "To Dream of Caramel". They were gooood.

Now that they're merely recommending which of their premade blends you'd most like, I'm wondering if that's what they've been doing all along. Of course, they can probably still make a pretty good match, and it was neat to see my own name and blend name on the bag.

apparently my chosen blend is mocha java. not really what i usually get, but i may give it a shot one day. i don't tend to be able to actually make coffee before having my coffee (basic bootstrapping issue) so i make the international general foods coffee most mornings. sometimes, if i've been really good, jeff will make me REAL coffee on the weekends.
