Stupid vendor tricks
In February, I asked one of our major vendors for a quote. Today they cancelled the ticket, saying that they don't add features to that version anymore and that I should buy the new version.
Ahem. Some points:
That's right, they've been sitting on a potential contract since February 2000, THREE AND A HALF YEARS. And then they tell me that product is deprecated.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is chutzpah.
Ahem. Some points:
- We've already signed a contract for the new version, a fact of which they ought to be aware.
- Remember I said I opened the ticket in February? Notice I didn't say 2003?
- ...or 2002?
- ...or 2001?
