Librarian Sues After Fired For Surfing Porn Sites
He says it was his job to test the porn filters. Hey, could be.
Fortunately, this actually WILL be my job pretty soon. We're going to install a filter eventually, and the first part of that is to run it in monitor-only mode so that I can see what it's trying to block (so that I can put legitimate sites onto the whitelist before we go into actual censorship mode).
But my favorite quote was that Hicks said he had [to] keep abreast of what was on the Internet...
